Why I Love Prose Boutique

My mom always told me that hands are a representation of yourself. People notice your hands, especially if you’re a woman. A girl must have always have their hands delicate–it’s a good representation. It’s been like that for ages!

Manicures and pedicures are something that women love and enjoy. You feel like another girl when you’re off to the nail salon. Nail trends are always in magazines. Remember when the French manicure was on trend years ago? Or the super long acrylic nails? My mom would take me to the nail salon to get my acrylic nails because I bite my nails and that would stop me. Sorry, mom….it didn’t work. But I still enjoy going to the salon to get a fresh mani!

When I moved to Phoenix, it took me awhile to find a place I liked. After going to Ana (my nail lady in my hometown) for almost 10 years of my life, it was weird to go to another nail salon. So, I began to jump from salon to salon. I would go to the one in Tempe Marketplace, the one close to my apartment, and the one close to my workplace. I was a nomad. I couldn’t find my place, until recently.

Phoenix just opened Prose Boutique at Uptown Plaza. This nail salon is local. From the moment you enter their place, you fall in love with their design–you feel you’re at the spa! It’s really an experience.

The service is really amazing, too. They make an effort to make you feel like part of the Prose family. I was able to talk with the manager, Beau. From the way he talked about Prose, you could sense how much love and care he has for the salon. Prose really thought about every detail.

In their nail bar, they have a place where you can plug in your phone. Don’t worry if you forgot your charger, because they have you covered! They also offer you water or tea. Can we talk about their business hours? They don’t close until 9 pm!! For me, it’s perfect. I’m so busy during the day that sometimes I can’t make it by 6 pm, which is usually the hour most of the nail salons close here. So, now I have time to make it to get my nails done.

In the pedicure area, the sofas are so comfy, and also they designed a water system where they save water and only use the proper amount of water you need for a pedicure. Prose really cares about the environment.

Prose Boutique is a unique experience. They are artists. They care about beauty, art, and environment.

Right now, Prose is having a special with mani and pedis for $50! How awesome is that? Also, they’re opening a second location on Shea Blv… literally 5 minutes from my apartment. I can even walk there. I’m crying out of happiness. Stay tuned on my Instagram for a special giveaway.
