25 things I’ve learned in 25 years

I turned 25 some weeks ago.  Yes, my dear, I’m a quarter of century years old. It’s very scary but at the same time exciting because now I am at a point of my life where I’m stable and happy.  I love my career, I love my friends, my family and most importantly I love myself. Life has been hard since I moved out from Mexico, and I always mention it all the time here but it was a huge change in my life. I have grown up so much. That’s why today’s post is about the 25 things I’ve learned in my 25 years.

  1. Be gentle and be kind. Today, I think people have forgotten to be humble and gentle to others.
  2. I’m not a dog person. Yes, and I tolerate more but I would not own one.
  3. There is nothing wrong if you want to cry. Sometimes it’s good to have a good and long cry and then move on.
  4. Men are simple. If  they are really into you,  they will do ANYTHING to be with you. They will find you, stalk all your social media and most importantly they”ll SPEAK or TEXT YOUUUUU!! . There are no excuses. When they want something, they are very persistent. Example: A guy from France looked for an internship in my hometown to be with me a whole summer. The sadness thing is that I wasn’t into him and he came all over to be with me.  Another example, I was the 10 years long crush from a old friend and eventually I agreed to be his girlfriend last year. We lasted a little but in the end, he won me.  If he doesn´t search for you or text you just to know how have you been. Please forget him and move on. Also men are ALWAYS THINKING about sex. Don’t be a fool and think he doesn’t!
  5. Wash your face before going to sleep. Your face is your presentation for the world. Take care of it!
  6. I have a pretty smile and has power over people.
  7. It is good to say NO. Don’t let people take advantage of you, only because you’re a nice person.
  8. If I only drink tequila, the next day I will not have a hangover.
  9. The wine gives me the worst hangover and headache but I still love it!
  10. Many people look up to me as a role model. Several friends and family have told me I’m their role model because I always achieve my goals and dreams. I have accomplished so many things at my young age that they look at me as a role model.
  11. I look better with lighter hair than dark.
  12. Spend time with your family especially your grandparents and get to know them.  Ask them questions. Talk!!  Despite being very close to my grandpa, I wish I’ve talk and spent time with him back then,
  13. Live experiences. You only live once. Travel, dance, laugh, talk with people, learn something new.
  14. I like telling stories. I’m a story teller.
  15. I still believe in prince charming BUT I know he is human, he is not going to save me and has his own flaws.
  16. Start taking care of your body. Despite being a dancer all my life, doing exercise has always cost me. Do it for your health, not vanity. Find a activity you like and do it. Thank God, I found Pure Barre.
  17. True friends are few. My aunt says that you must count them with the palm of your hand. It is better to have few friends but loyal to you that a group of friends who only hurts you or brings out the worst in you.
  18. Better alone than badly accompanied. Don’t look for a boyfriend or stay in a bad relationship for fear of being alone. My worst relations has been when I fall into loneliness and need someone besides me.  Enjoy your singleness!!
  19. SPEAK YOUR MIND. I’m a shy and quiet person, but I have a voice when something doesn’t feel right.
  20. I’m not good at drawing, or playing any instrument or anything that has to do with my hands.
  21. Driving is not my forte and less if I’m stressed out. I caused car ccidents. I’ve had five.
  22. I have a very psycho mind. When I was watching Gone Girl, I identified with Amy. When I get angry for real all I want is revenge. I’m surprised with my evil plans. If you don’t believe me, I’m INTJ.
  23. I love social media but I know when to put down the phone and enjoy the moments of life.
  24. Singing makes me very happy. Whether in the bathroom, in the car or wherever.
  25. Being petite has its advantages. You look cuter, you can pass between people at concerts to get on front, you can sleep anywhere, and you can wear heels without looking like an elf. #hobbitproud
