Denim Dress

One of the basics for this spring is the denim dress, and I’m not only talking about dresses. I’ve never seen this much denim like during this season.
When I walked into Zara last week, all of the mannequins had denim on them. Then I realized that my board on Pinterest about spring looks is full of denim (you can take a look here). I’m not the only one who’s fallen for the boom of the denim. Allison, a girl from my work at Bloguettes, bought her first boyfriend jeans in the last 4 years, when she had stopped using them.
Denim is a basic, that’s it. It’s very easy to wear. So when I discovered this dress in Old Navy with a 50% off, I bought it without a second thought. Maybe I did thought it over a bit, being honest. It has a very spring-like and feminine look, even more when you match it with my new hat from Nordstrom (which I bought for $12 dollars). Yes, I was very lucky that week.
Denim dress aside, I’d like to talk you about the blog. I love my blog, which is why I’ve kept it for four years, but sometimes I have no desire to publish anything. I have many pictures of looks but knowing that I have to write, I can’t do it. Writing is not my strength. Sometimes I think no one cares about what I write.
On Saturday, I met with some bloggers from Phoenix. They were talking about consistency in their posts. I noticed they said sometimes they don’t wanna write, and they don’t. It’s visible on their posts. Quality is better than quantity. I’m going to try posting one day a week. I like blogging. I have a notebook full of ideas for posts, but they remain on it. I like this space I have. I don’t expect to be famous or gain money with it, it’s just a space where I can show my love for fashion. That’s always been my goal ever since I started on august of 2011.

Uno de los básicos de esta primavera es el vestido denim.
No solamente hablo del denim en forma de vestido. Nunca había visto tanto denim como esta temporada. Cuando entré a Zara la semana pasada, todos sus maniquís tenían esta tela. Después me di cuenta que en mi board en Pinterest sobre atuendos primaverales, la mayoría de ellos tienen denim (pueden darse cuentan dándole click aquí). No soy la única que ha caído al boom del denim. Allison, una chica de mi trabajo en Bloguettes, se compró su primer boyfriend jeans desde hace 4 años.
El denim es un básico, de eso no hay discusión. Es muy fácil de usar. Entonces cuando vi este vestido con 50% en Old Navy, lo compré sin pensarlo. Está actualmente a $20 dlls. A lo mejor un poco, la verdad. Tiene un aire muy primaveral, femenino y más cuando lo combinas con mi nuevo sombrero de Nordstrom por solo $12 dólares. Sí, esa semana corría con mucha suerte.
Dejando a lado el vestido denim, quiero platicarles sobre el blog. Amo mi blog, por algo he estado con él estos 4 años, pero tengo momentos en que no tengo para nada de ganas de publicar algo. Tengo muchas fotos de atuendos, pero al saber que tengo que escribir, me bloqueo. El escribir no es mi fuerte. A veces siento que nadie le interesa lo que escribo.
Ayer tuve a una reunión de té con bloggers de Phoenix. Estaban hablando sobre la consistencia de los posts en sus blogs. Me llamo la atención que dijeran que si no tienen ganas de escribir, no lo hacen, porque se nota en sus posts. Se refleja. Que es mejor calidad que cantidad. Voy a intentar una vez a la semana postear. Me gusta bloggear. Tengo una libreta llena de ideas de posts, pero solamente se quedan en papel. Me gusta este espacio que tengo en el internet. No espero ser famosa, ni ganar dinero de él, solamente quiero un lugar donde puedo demostrar mi amor hacía la moda. Eso siempre ha sido el objetivo desde que lo abrí en Agosto del 2011.
